Oh, wow, catching up late -- but thanks for such a great summary of what the holiday is all about! (I never knew what I'd always called a menorah is really a hanukkah.) And you've got me wishing I lived next door so I could drop by for rugelach...glad your daughter will be part of the assembly team, and have a wonderful holiday!

No such thing as late over here at Writings and Wanderings, Laurie. I'm glad I was able to expand your knowledge of my holiday. The rugelach are baked and awaiting a trip down the mountain for our family celebration.

Wishing you and yours a happy holiday.

Those potato latkes look fabulous.

We celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. Minimal decorations, maximum food. 😊

Have a wonderful holiday season.

Son's making the latkes this year. I'm in charge of the rugelach. With Daughter B home for the holidays, she'll be helping with the assembly.

I'm with you on minimal decorations ... I forgot, that was on my to do list for today.

Terry, your summation of holidays tickles me: "They came to kill us. We won. Let’s eat."

Your recipes make my mouth water.

Happy Hanukkah to you and your family!

Thanks, Debbie - that's pretty much the deal for most of the holidays. I'll be making rugelach on Saturday. My son's in charge of the latkes this year.
