I teach this to 10-year-olds. They get it. Even the dyslexic kids understand. As much as I know older people with LDs were passed by... the majority of adults failing in this concept are not LD.
Yes, I copy these reversed apostrophes too, lol. And I used to do it for em-dashes too, but now I figured out where to get them on the keyboard... learning!
I learned em dashes a long time ago. I use a lot of them. And they're easy. Word will change two hyphens to em dashes automatically, although maybe you have to set it up. I did it so long ago, I don't remember.
